Honor has introduced a new mid-budget smartphone in Saudi Arabia, Honor X8b.
Honor X8b is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2412 × 1080 pixels), 90 Hz refresh rate, 2000 cd/m2 peak brightness, and support for PWM backlight control at 3240 Hz. The screen supports 16.7 million shades of color and provides 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. At the top of the screen there is an oval Magic Capsule cutout, which, like the iPhone’s Dynamic Island, displays notifications and widgets. It also houses a front-facing 50-megapixel camera with flash.
The 4500 mAh battery supports 35 W fast charging technology. The smartphone runs MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. The device specifications also include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5.0 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, USB Type-C port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
On the back of the device, there is a 108-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro b. On the front there is a 50-megapixel front camera.
In Saudi Arabia, the smartphone is already available for purchase at a price of about $240.
