NVIDIA has introduced its own analogue of the ChatGPT chatbot. A new product called Chat with RTX has become available on the official website of the video card manufacturer.
Chat with RTX can process YouTube videos – just enter the URL to receive a summary of the content in text form from the chatbot. Chat with RTX allows you to search video transcripts. According to experts, searching videos takes a matter of seconds. At the same time, there were cases when the chatbot, for some unknown reason, used the content of another video instead of the requested one to search. This clearly indicates errors in the early demo.
Researchers find Chat with RTX useful when processing PDF files. NVIDIA’s chatbot is said to have performed better than Microsoft’s Copilot in this task, retrieving key information without issue. Experts also noted that Chat with RTX provides a response almost instantly, without the delays that are usually observed when using cloud chatbots ChatGPT or Copilot.
Chat with RTX is distributed as separate software that is installed directly on a Windows 11-based PC. However, the neural network can only work if the device has more than 16 GB of RAM installed, as well as a minimum NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 or 40 series video card with 8 GB of video memory. According to NVIDIA itself, the chatbot will work better on more powerful PCs.
