Samsung has officially announced its winter Unpacked presentation, which will take place immediately after CES in Silicon Valley across the street from the headquarters of its largest competitors. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17 at the SAP Center, home of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks.
According to the company, the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked will feature “the latest mobile devices in the Galaxy portfolio.” In its teaser video, the company explicitly states that “Galaxy AI is coming,” so we can expect Samsung-developed artificial intelligence to appear in smartphones in some form or another.
The company says it will show off “the newest additions to the Galaxy mobile device portfolio,” which is almost guaranteed to include the S24 series. AI will be the focus – this is clearly communicated in the video. Rumors also indicate that the S24 Ultra will get a new titanium body – 3D metal graphics in the event invitation hint at this.
To drum up excitement for the event, Samsung plans to once again offer US residents a $50 discount if they reserve one of the new Galaxy smartphones online or through the Samsung app between January 2 and January 16. There is no need to pay anything, just enter your name and email address, and users will be given a discount when pre-orders start.
