ASUS, immediately after the announcement of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, announced plans to announce a new ROG Phone 8 gaming phone with this chip at its core, but so far this device has not been presented and absolutely nothing is known about it. And today the Taiwanese unexpectedly showed a fragment of the device in a teaser.

The published image shows the back of the device with a new back cover and a pentagonal-shaped main camera island with one truncated corner. The camera block of the ROG Phone 8 protrudes quite strongly above the surface of the device and will consist of three modules and an LED flash. The manufacturer has not yet announced the resolution of the modules.

The image also shows the presence of a USB-C port on the side of the device, just like the ROG Phone 7 smartphones.

It is assumed that ASUS ROG Phone 8 will receive a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and an increased amount of RAM – 24 GB – will appear in the top modification of ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.

In the near future, the company will present the device in full, its sales will probably start in early 2024.
