The design of the new iPhones remains largely the same, but the stainless steel frame has been replaced by a titanium frame. Apple claims that the new iPhone 15 Pro is the lightest iPhone Pro series in the company’s history. At the same time, the strength of the smartphone has increased, since titanium is one of the strongest metals. In addition, the new product features the thinnest frames around the display. The overall dimensions of the smartphones have been slightly reduced without reducing the display size.

Smartphones are equipped with OLED Super Retina XDR displays with a brightness of up to 1600 cd/m2 when displaying images with HDR, and outdoors the peak brightness can even reach 2000 cd/m2. Variable refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz are supported. The iPhone 15 Pro uses a 6.1-inch panel, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen. The screens are the same as the iPhone 14 Pro series.

The iPhone 15 Pro is based on the new Apple A17 Pro single-chip platform, which, according to Apple, uses the fastest and most energy-efficient mobile central processor – it is 10% faster than its predecessor. The chip has six computing cores. The platform is manufactured according to TSMC’s 3nm process technology and contains about 19 billion transistors. The chip is equipped with a new 16-core neural engine for AI acceleration that is twice as fast as the Apple A16 Bionic – it is capable of processing up to 35 trillion operations per second.

The screen sizes for this model will remain the same – 6.1 and 6.7 inches, but due to the new material the devices themselves will be slightly smaller. The silent mode switch has disappeared. Additionally, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max can record 3D video (Spatial Video) for playback on the Vision Pro MR headset. Apple called the iPhone 15 Pro/Max “the company’s most professional smartphone ever, with the best camera ever on an iPhone” and “the best gaming smartphone in the world.”

The prices are: iPhone 15 Pro – from $999, iPhone 15 Pro Max – from $1199.
