Today, November 29, Xiaomi held a large-scale presentation of new products, during which the flagship smartphones Redmi K70 and K70 Pro were announced. These two models are almost identical except for a few details.
The Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70 smartphones are equipped with the same 6.67-inch flat OLED screens with a 2K resolution (3200 × 1440 pixels). The screen used in both new products was developed jointly with TCL Huaxing and is equipped with a new C8 luminescent material, which provides incredible peak brightness of up to 4000 cd/m2. The maximum brightness in manual mode is 700 cd/m2, and when playing HDR content – 1200 cd/m2. The refresh rate is 120 Hz, the touch sampling rate is 2160 Hz, and the backlight PWM control frequency is 3840 Hz. The screen supports 12-bit color depth, as well as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies. The screen aspect ratio is 20:9, contrast ratio is 5,000,000:1.
The flagship model Redmi K70 Pro is based on a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with Adreno 750 graphics accelerator. In turn, the Redmi K70 smartphone is based on a 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with Adreno 740 graphics. Both models come with RAM LPDDR5x-8533. The Redmi K70 has 12 or 16 GB, while the Redmi K70 Pro has up to 24 GB. For data storage there are UFS 4.0 flash drives of 256, 512 GB or 1 TB.
Redmi K70 received three cameras with a 50 MP Light Hunter 800 main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro module. Pro model boasts a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera in it is the same. Both models are equipped with 16 MP selfie cameras.
The smartphones are powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports a 120 W fast charging system. Redmi K70 Pro became the first model of the Chinese brand to receive pre-installed proprietary HyperOS firmware based on the new Android 14.
